The Bee and the Rose

Bee:                Mmm, you smell lovely.  May I sit here? Your red petals are so soft and pretty.

Rose:         Please do.

(The bee begins to cry.)

Rose:                 Why are you crying? It is such a beautiful day and you have found a friendly rose. Why are you so sad?

Bee:                       I 've lost my family.  Two days ago I left my home and now I can't remember how to get back to the hive.

Rose:          I saw some of your friends yesterday, but I don't know where they went.

Bee:                   Perhaps we can ask the wise bumble-bee if he knows where my home is.

Rose:                    He will be here at noon.  You can wait for him.

(There is a buzzing noise and a large bumble-bee sits down next to them.)

.

Bumble Bee: Good day!

Rose:                       Mr.Bumble Bee could you help us please?  We are trying to remember where the hive of this little bee is.

Bumble Bee:  I remember it well.  Let me take you home.  You can follow me there little bee.

Bee:                        Oh thank you Mr. Bumble Bee. I would be so happy to see my family again.

Bumble Bee: Stay close to me.  Let's go.  Bye Miss Rose...by the way, you look very pretty today.  May I visit you tomorrow?

Rose:                     Of course.  And thank you for helping the little bee.

Bumble Bee: You're welcome.  See you tomorrow.

Bee:                          Bye Miss Rose!

Rose:           Bye, see you soon.
