Scrapbooking Tips 1. Use your own successful layouts for other themes: Ever created something really good? Take that same idea and layout, use completely different papers, different stickers, different words - but use the same exact layout in one of your other albums. It really works! 2. Cut out shapes of animation and other pictures from magazines. Use them to make your own cutouts for your pages. 3. Do you ever receive those mini photo albums as a gift for a contribution to charity? Use them to categorize stickers or cut-outs - after all, if you are doing scrapbooking, why would you need them for photographs?? 5. Choose a "high-end" furniture magazine; carefully note the beautiful layouts of their photographs, and do the same on your pages. 6. If you are working on many different scrapbooks at any one time, keep a journal with logs of what you have finished, where you have put the photos for this album, what fonts you used on your computer for the project. Next time you can just flip to the diary of your scrapbook and see where you need to start from. 7. Check out scrapbook kits on websites and in magazines. Note the color schemes and designs, and try to make up your own sets based on the examples that you see. 8. Got pieces of fabric that you love but don't want to sew with? Use them for your scrapbooks. Cut them and add fabric adhesive that is acid free, and use it to embellish your pages.
